How we use it

We use your information to respond to enquiries, assess and prepare transactions, make appropriate introductions and comply with our legal obligations. We rely on legitimate interests and, where applicable, your consent.

Sharing

Where you ask us to progress a transaction, we may share relevant information with suitable capital sources on a confidential basis. We do not sell personal data. Documents are not published or made publicly available.

Retention & your rights

We retain information only as long as necessary. Under UK GDPR you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of your personal data, or object to processing. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Fees & commission

Charter HCP may receive fees from clients and, in some cases, commission or introducer fees from capital providers. Where relevant this will be disclosed to you. Where Charter acts as principal (lending or investing), its interest in the transaction will be made clear.

Charter HCP Limited provides non-regulated corporate finance consultancy, transaction support, due diligence and introductions in relation to business transactions. In limited circumstances, and only where a transaction is for genuine business purposes and falls outside the scope of regulated financial services following appropriate legal and regulatory assessment, Charter HCP may use its own balance-sheet capital or warehouse line to lend to or invest directly in a business for its own account. It does not provide regulated financial, investment, mortgage or consumer-credit advice, does not accept deposits or manage third-party investor money, and does not operate an investment fund or collective investment scheme. Funding is subject to assessment, due diligence, valuation, credit approval and contract. No funding outcome is guaranteed.

Charter HCP is a separate business from Charter Lending (chcplending.com) and other group companies, each with distinct legal and regulatory responsibilities.

We may receive commissions that vary depending on the lender, product, or other permissible factors. The nature of any commission arrangement will be disclosed to you before you proceed.
